The Utilities Intermediaries Association – The UIA is a Trade Association for those Third Party Intermediaries (Tpis) facilitating energy purchasing contracts between supplier and consumer. Typically these organisations will be Consultants, or Brokers and their agents.

Ofgem  - is the Office of the Gas and Electricity Markets. Protecting consumers is the first priority. Ofgem do this by promoting competition, wherever appropriate, and regulating the monopoly companies which run the gas and electricity networks.

Consumer Focus - Campaigning for a fair deal.

DEFRA - The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is a government department in the UK. Making and delivering policy and legislation in the natural environment, farming, animal welfare, pollution control and rural communities.

Environment Agency - Are an Executive Non-departmental Public Body responsible to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and a Welsh Government Sponsored Body responsible to the Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development. Who’s principal aims are to protect and improve the environment, and to promote sustainable development.

Carbon Trust - Are a not-for-profit company providing specialist support to help business and the public sector boost business returns by cutting carbon emissions, saving energy and commercialising low carbon technologies.

ENA - the Energy Networks Association - is the trade association for UK energy transmission and distribution licence holders. It acts in the interest of the energy 'wires and pipes' sectors to achieve excellence in both its internal services and relationships with stakeholders.

National Grid - An international Electricity and Gas Company and one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world.
